help, I need a 12 step program for my Stephanie plum addiction
"I attribute the incident to temporary insanity, and in my own defense, I'd like to say I haven't run over anyone since."

"...the urge to scream told me I was home."

"...felt pretty damn slick in my suit and heels, toting my bounty hunter hardware.  Embarrassing as it was to admit, I was beginning to enjoy the role, thinking there was nothing like packing a pair of cuffs to put some spring into a woman's step."

Okay, so I am in the middle of book six of the Stephanie Plum series and I can't put these books down.  I blame Joia for the fact that my house is a mess, I'm behind on my TV shows and my family is being neglected ;-).

I love and adore Stephanie Plum.  I had this great plan that I would read a chapter a day of my deep books and then spend the rest of my reading time with Stephanie Plum.  No such luck, the books are so delicious I just can't put them down.

Since most of you are also fans I will just give you some highlights of what I love best.

Stephanie Plum--What is there not to love about a bounty hunter that is constantly stumbling into dangerous situations and gets to spend time with the likes of Ranger and Joe Morelli.

Joe Morelli--I think I'm in love with this guy.  Evanovich makes him out to be quite the looker with the cop attitude, the motorcycle and the genuine care and affection he has for Stephanie.  Its all pretty hard to resist.

Ranger--There is a lot to love about this guy.  Mysterious, handsome, protective and just a bad ass in general.

Grandma--I think the grandma makes me laugh more than anyone else.  She is such a character and I love everything about her.

These books have mystery, adventure, comedy, romance and are totally addictive.  I love the whole bounty hunter concept and the fact that she has all these bad ass guys in her life looking out for her.  For me it is the equivalent of Alias but in book form with some comedy thrown in for good measure.

I give the series a 10 out of 10.  Awesome!!

Yay for you on being up to Book 6 out of 50 already!

And yes, this series is completely addicting. Josh got the whole series for me for Xmas, and it's quite likely I'll be reading them again this year. ;-D

I'm actually on book 9 now because I've read 6 Plum books and I read 2 others while I was waiting for more Plum ones. I'm already part way through the 7th Plum book. I have a major addiction ;-).

Oh I know where you're coming from. I LOVE this series, and devour the books when the come out.

I was just talking to people at work about these the other day, we were trying to work out who would play who in the movie!!!

I got bored around Book 8. I loved them until about Book 5 and then it just became running in place in order to keep the series going. But they sure were fun until I got bored. :)

I am with Kath, although unlike her, I didn't stop reading them... I've read all the way through Lean Mean Thirteen, and the books definitely continue to be hilarious and fun. But they do sort of stall in one particular area. Still... Morelli is a babe!
